In a bid to expand their relationship with Kevin Sussman, The Big Bang Theory series has sold a comedy script to CBS that will be called the ‘The Wife of Crime’. Sussman is said to pen the script for the new show which is centered on a man who belongs to Staten Island who gets married to an Italian girl with family ties in a mob. He is drawn to the family’s life of crime and the story revolves around these characters.
Sussman became the Big Bang theory regular after the sixth season was rolled out and will also co-executive produce the upcoming series for CBS Television studios. The production of the show will be carried on by Neil Moritz and Vivian Cannon who will execute the show through their Original Film banner with the studio. This comedy show will be the first association of the duo with the studio and also the first successful contract for this season.
Recently the duo worked on NBC’s Save Me and the Big C that belongs to Showtime. Moritz has also been a part of I know what you Did Last Summer reboot. His contributions to the big screen include Fast & Furious, I Am Legend and 21 Jump Street.
Wife of Crime is the latest work opportunity for Sussman and he has also teamed up with John Ross Bowie in the past a semi autobiographical comedy that was based on his life.
